Leaderene is now recruiting senior leaders to become "Founding Ambassadors" for the Leaderene Ambassador Network
Leaderene CIC aims to provide a vital springboard into boardroom leadership posts for women in the UK, Africa and beyond. Increasing the number of women participating in high level decision making is essential for catalysing social and economic global transformation; and is a key theme in the both the EU and UN Women's gender equality strategies and integral to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. The Leaderene Ambassador Network
Through the establishment of a global network of senior female leaders Leaderene will develop a community of role models, mentors and sponsors and create a talent pool of experienced and knowledgeable professional women. By connecting female leaders across continents Leaderene hopes raise awareness of the benefits of gender diversity and inspire women and young girls to aim high and achieve their personal and professional goals.
Founding Ambassadors
Leaderene is now recruiting 10 Founding Ambassadors from the UK and East Africa to invest in the development and promotion of the network, to provide inspirational leadership and to help improve the lives of women and girls less fortunate. Ideally Founding Ambassadors will be working at Senior Management level or be a successful female entrepreneur with at least 2-3 years board experience, They will be thought leaders with proven track record of creating lasting change in their organisation or field of work and able to demonstrate involvement in, and an understanding of, gender equality issues.
Commitment
Leaderene Founding Ambassadors will be expected to provide a minimum level of commitment to the network which includes:
- Sponsoring at least one woman to successfully acquire a boardroom post - executive or non-executive
- Raise awareness of the Leaderene Ambassador Network
- Champion the benefits of gender diversity amongst their peers in particular Board Chairpersons
Membership Fee
Leaderene Founding Ambassadors will be asked to pay an initial one-off membership fee of £2000 which will be invested in the development of the Leaderene Ambassador Network and associated Leaderene initiatives, as well as demonstrating their commitment to gender diversity.
